Thursday, November 9, 2023 - Call Us What We Carry, Amanda Gorman. Poetry collection . 240 pages.

December 14, 2023 - In One Person by John Irving - Fiction  Novel of desire, secrecy, and sexual identity, a story of unfulfilled love. 448 pages

January 18, 2024 - The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store by James McBride.  Fiction. Solidarity between the Black and Jewish Communities in Pennsylvania. 400 pages  

February 22, 2024- Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead.  The alternate history novel tells the story of Cora, a slave in the Antebellum South during the 19th century, who makes a bid for freedom from her Georgia plantation by following the Underground Railroad, which the novel depicts as a rail transport system with safe houses and secret routes.

March 13, 2024 - The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath - Autobiographical Fiction - 60th Anniversary. A young female writer in the 1950s. Humor, depression, mental illness. 244 pages.  Exceptionally on a Wednesday.  

April 11, 2024 -  The Passenger by Cormac McCarthy - Fiction - The story of a salvage diver, haunted by loss, afraid of the watery deep, pursued for a conspiracy beyond his understanding, and longing for a death he cannot reconcile with God.

May 16, 2024 - Overture: a Novel by Yael Goldstein.  Fiction.  Love, music, and the complex relationship between mothers and daughters — lives lived passionately and a subtle exploration of the nature of genius.  304 pages.

 June 6, 2024 - If l Survive You by Jonathan Escoffery. Fiction. Jamaican American Family trying to survive in Florida.  272 pages.
