La Cultura Americana e la Lingua Inglese in Friuli Venezia Giulia dal 1961.
L’Associazione Italo Americana FVG, senza fini di lucro e riconosciuta dalla regione FVG, è stata fondata nel 1961. Inizialmente serviva come collegamento tra il governo USA e la comunità di Trieste dopo la chiusura dell'ufficio U.S.I.S (United States Information Service) di Trieste. Fino al 2006 il consolato Americano era situato nella sede dell'Associazione. La missione dell'Associazione è la promozione della cultura americana e della lingua inglese ma anche della reciproca collaborazione tra gli Stati Uniti e l'Italia.
Oggi l'Associazione continua ad offrire corsi, attività e eventi in inglese per i soci e per il pubblico.

Nel 2007 abbiamo ottenuto lo status di American Corner con il sostegno del governo USA, dopo la chiusura del Consolato USA a Trieste, come riconoscimento del collegamento storico tra Trieste e gli Stati Uniti. Negli oltre 600 American Spaces presenti in più di 140 paesi, vengono offerti a titolo gratuito informazioni sugli Stati Uniti, sostegno all'apprendimento e l'insegnamento della lingua inglese, informazioni sulle opportunità di studio negli USA, programmi culturali e coinvolgimento di esperti in temi statunitensi, opportunità di skills building.

The Associazione Italo Americana FVG, non-profit and recognized the the FVG region, was founded in 1961. Initially it acted as a liaison between the US Government and the people of Trieste, after the closure of U.S.I.S. (United States Information Service). Until 2006 the US Consulate was also located within the Association.
The mission of the Association is to promote U.S. Culture and English Learning, as well as friendship and understanding between the United States and Italy.
Today the Association continues to offer English Courses, events and activities in English for members and the general public.
In 2007 we obtained American Corner status with the support of the US government, after the closure of the US Consulate in Trieste, in recognition of the historical ties between Trieste and the United States. There are over 600 American Spaces in 140 nations where free opportunities include: Information about the United States, support for English Language Learners and Teachers, Education Advising for those wishing to study in the US, Cultural programs and the involvement of Experts with specific knowledge about the US, Skills Building Programs.
